This policy explains what Acme Meridian LLC does with personal data collected through acmemeridian.com and when you get in touch with us. We have written it in plain English because a privacy policy nobody can read protects nobody.
1. Who we are
Acme Meridian LLC is a limited liability company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States. For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation we are the data controller for the data described here. Registered office and registered agent details are published in our legal notice. You can reach us at walyd@acmemeridian.com.
2. What we collect
When you browse this site. This website has no analytics, no advertising pixels, no social widgets, no embedded third-party scripts and no user accounts. Our hosting and network providers automatically record technical request data — your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and a timestamp — in server logs, which is unavoidable for any site to be delivered and defended against abuse.
When you email us. We receive whatever you send: your email address, your name if you give it, and the contents of your message and any attachments. We do not operate a contact form, so nothing is collected without you deliberately writing to us.
When we work together. If you become a client, we process the business contact details, project information and credentials needed to do the work. That processing is governed by the written agreement between us, not by this page.
We do not knowingly collect special-category data (health, biometrics, political opinions, and so on), and we ask you not to send it to us by email.
3. Why we process it
- To answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or the steps taken before entering a contract at your request.
- To deliver and protect the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest in security, availability and abuse prevention.
- To perform a contract. Legal basis: performance of a contract, once one exists between us.
- To meet legal obligations. Accounting and tax records, for example.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we never sell it.
4. Cookies
This website sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. Your browser may cache fonts, images and stylesheets so the site loads faster on your next visit; that cache lives on your device and is not readable by us.
5. Who we share it with
Only the service providers that make the site and our email work. Each acts as a processor or independent controller under its own terms:
- GitHub, Inc. — website hosting (GitHub Pages), United States.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — DNS and email routing, United States.
- Google LLC — the mailbox that receives messages sent to our address, United States.
We may also disclose data where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept for up to 24 months from our last exchange, then deleted, unless they became part of a client relationship. Client records are kept for the life of the engagement plus the period required by tax and limitation law. Server logs are retained by our providers for short rolling periods under their own policies.
7. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — write to walyd@acmemeridian.com and we will answer within 30 days.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you additionally have the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what is collected and why, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
8. International transfers
We are a United States company and our providers are United States companies, so data you send us is processed in the United States. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA or the UK, our providers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Access to our mailbox is protected by strong authentication. We keep the number of systems holding personal data deliberately small — the simplest way to protect data is not to collect it. No system is perfectly secure, and we make no guarantee that transmission over the internet is immune to interception.
10. Children
This site and our services are directed at businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
